Terms of use
1. Scope
These terms of use apply to the use of the mobile application “hppy” (hereinafter “App”), provided by the provider of the app:

By registering for and using the App, you accept these terms of use. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use the App.
2. Description of the App
hppy is a social calendar — an app for planning activities and events with friends. The App lets you create events, invite friends, agree on dates, chat and discover public events in your area. Events can also offer raffles (see section 6).
3. Registration and account
- Registration is only possible with a phone number and SMS verification.
- During the pilot phase, an invitation code may be required.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and your device.
- Only one account per person is allowed.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
4. Rules of conduct
When using the App, the following is not permitted:
- Publishing unlawful, offensive, threatening or discriminatory content
- Spam, unsolicited advertising or mass messages
- Using false identities or impersonating another person
- Collecting or misusing other users' data
- Any form of automated access (bots, scraping, etc.)
- Distributing malware or tampering with the App
In the event of violations, we reserve the right to suspend or delete your account without prior notice.
5. User content
- You retain all rights to the content you create in the App (events, messages, profile pictures).
- By creating content, you grant hppy a simple, non-exclusive right to use it, in order to display and process it as part of the App's features (e.g. to send event details to invited friends).
- You ensure that your content does not infringe the rights of third parties.
6. Raffles
In the App and in the ticket widget on hppy.events, events can offer raffles, for example for admission tickets. The following applies:
- Every raffle is run by the provider of the app. The prizes are given by the organizer of the event in question (“prize giver”), who also picks the winners.
- Each raffle has its own conditions of entry. The App shows them before every entry, and you only enter if you accept them. Where they differ from these terms of use, they take precedence.
- Entry is free and does not depend on buying a ticket or anything else.
- Only people aged 18 or over who live in Germany may enter, each person only once. Multiple accounts or automated entries lead to exclusion.
- Apple, Google and other platform operators are not sponsors and are not involved in the raffles in any way.
7. Availability
We strive to keep the App available at all times, but cannot guarantee this. Maintenance, technical faults or force majeure may lead to temporary restrictions. There is no entitlement to uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of liability
- The App is provided “as is”.
- We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information shown in the App, in particular event information from external sources.
- Liability for damage arising from the use of the App is excluded to the extent permitted by law, unless it is based on intent or gross negligence.
- We accept no responsibility for content from other users.
9. Privacy
Protecting your data matters to us. You can find information on how we collect and process personal data in our privacy policy.
10. Termination and account deletion
- You can delete your account at any time — right in the App or by email to support@hppy.events.
- When your account is deleted, your profile data is deleted. Content you shared with others stays for them without your name (see Delete your account).
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts immediately and without prior notice in the event of serious violations of these terms of use.
11. Changes to the terms of use
We reserve the right to amend these terms of use at any time. Material changes will be announced in the App or by push notification. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Final provisions
- The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
- Should individual provisions of these terms of use be invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected (severability clause).
