Frequently asked questions
How do I create an event?
Tap the “+” button in the timeline or on the home screen. Enter a title, optionally a location, and a date, and invite friends. If you haven't agreed on a date yet, you can also start a date poll (Doodle-style).
How do I invite friends?
In the app, under “Du” (You) → “Deine Freunde” (Your friends), you can search for friends by phone number and add them. Friend requests have to be confirmed. Alternatively, you can share an event link — opening it automatically sends a friend request.
How do I delete my account?
Right in the app: tap “Du” (You) at the bottom right, scroll all the way down and tap “Konto löschen” (Delete account). No access to the app any more? You can also request it by email. How that works and what happens to your data is explained under Delete your account.
Push notifications don't work
Make sure you have allowed push notifications for hppy in your device settings. On iOS you'll find this under Settings → Notifications → hppy, on Android under Settings → Apps → hppy → Notifications. Restart the app once after making the change.
I don't have an invitation code
hppy is currently in a closed pilot phase. You need an invitation code from an existing user to register. If you're interested, write to us at hello@hppy.events.
Calendar export doesn't work
Calendar export is only available on your device (not in the browser). Turn it on under “Du” (You) → “Termine exportieren” (Export dates). Make sure hppy has permission to access your calendar. Events are synchronized automatically when you open the app.
Can I edit or delete an event?
Yes! Open the event and tap “Bearbeiten” (Edit, pencil icon). Only the creator of an event can edit it. To delete it, scroll down while editing.
